On 22nd August 1943, Polish pilot Jerzy Ryszard Tuczemski died as a result of the crash of a Supermarine Spitfire at Craig's Wood near Rasharkin, Co. Antrim.
Pilot Officer Jerzy Ryszard Tuczemski crashed on the 22nd August 1943 when his aircraft was observed experiencing engine trouble prior to flying into the ground at Craigs Wood, Long Mountain, near Rasharkin, County Antrim.
He is buried at Ballycranbeg (Mount St. Joseph) Roman Catholic Graveyard.
